In a shocking turn of events, a scandal has rocked the educational landscape of Maharashtra’s Beed, leaving the community in disbelief. Videos allegedly depicting two teachers engaging in sexual acts within the confines of their institute have gone viral on social media, causing outrage among parents and the school’s administration.
The incident came to light on November 15 when a vigilant peon working at the educational institution reported the matter to the school authorities. However, before the administration could take any action, the compromising videos had already been widely circulated across various social media platforms, adding fuel to the controversy.
In response to the disturbing videos, the school management wasted no time in lodging a formal complaint with the Maharashtra police. The school, which falls under the minority educational category, accused the two teachers involved of not only engaging in inappropriate behavior on campus but also allegedly filming their actions.
The repercussions of this scandal have been swift and severe. According to reports, the school management has taken decisive action by suspending four teachers, including the male and female educators seen in the videos, as well as two additional female teachers. Furthermore, two other female teachers have chosen voluntary retirement in the wake of the controversy.
As the investigation unfolds, the police have registered a complaint on December 9 against the male teacher and others involved for disseminating the video clips on social media. The accused male teacher is currently on the run, and his cell phones remain switched off, making it a challenging task for the authorities to locate him.
The seriousness of the allegations is reflected in the charges filed against the male teacher, which include sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to obscene material, obscenity, defamation, and multiple provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Given the gravity of the situation, the investigating team has taken special measures by appointing a lady officer to record statements from all 59 members of the school’s teaching staff. With 23 women and 36 men working as teachers at the school, ensuring a comprehensive and sensitive inquiry is of utmost importance.
